• Quote of the week

““It is my firm belief that 9/11 skeptics—and true skeptics of any paradigm-shifting and taboo subject—who publicly expose lies and ‘naked emperors’ are heroes …They have suffered the ridicule and wrath of those emperors, their minions, and the just plain frightened…In our American society, many of our authority figures routinely lie to us, but nonetheless, many citizens continue to look to them for truth and safety—especially when fear is heightened. This strong tendency to believe and obey authority is another obstacle with which skeptics of the official 9/11 account must contend…By unquestioningly believing and obeying authority, we make very bad decisions, which often negatively affect others. This can be equally true for the four human proclivities studied by social psychologists: doublethink, cognitive dissonance, conformity, and groupthink.”

The Perpetual Traveler

Do you want to escape the control over your life and property now held by modern Big Brother government?

The PT concept could have been called Individual Sovereignty, because PT’s look after themselves. We don’t want or need any authorities dominating every aspect of our existence from cradle to grave. The PT concept is one way to break free.

In a nutshell, a PT merely arranges his or her ‘paperwork’ in such a way that all governments consider him a tourist – a person who is just ‘Passing Through’. The advantage is that by being thought of by government officials as a person who is merely ‘Parked Temporarily’, a PT is not subjected to taxes, military service, lawsuits, or persecution for partaking of innocent but forbidden pleasures. Unlike most citizens or subjects, the PT will not be persecuted for his beliefs or lack of them.

PT stands for many things: A PT can be a ‘Perpetual Tourist,’ ‘Permanent Traveler’ or ‘Previous Taxpayer’ if he or she wants to be. The individual who is a PT can stay in one place most of the time. Or all of the time! PT is a concept, a way of life, a way of perceiving the universe and your place in it. One can be a full-time, dedicated PT, or a part-time PT. Some intelligent inquirers may not want to break out at once, or become a PT at all. They just want to be aware of the possibilities, and be prepared to modify their lifestyle in the event of a crisis. Knowledge will make you sort of a PT – a ‘Possible Thinker’ who is ‘Prepared Thoroughly’ for the future.

Freedom from government (the arbitrary whims of sometimes deranged politicians), and from the destructive powers of rampant bureaucracy is the essence of PT or individual sovereignty. PT is merely an arbitrary set of initials chosen to identify a certain lifestyle, belief system, or whatever you choose to call it. There are no dues to pay, no membership cards, and up to now, no meetings or conventions. Quite a few PT’s exist already. Perhaps a million. Perhaps ten million. No one will ever know how many PT’s there are, because we are all invisible. Many PT’s have not heard the initials PT being used to describe their lifestyle nor will they ever read about the PT philosophy, they are none-the-less PT’s, though they may have stumbled into this path of enlightenment and freedom on their own.

It will be impossible for any government to attack or wipe out PT’s, because we are an amorphous group without consistent behavior patterns. From the point of view of any government official, we appear to be the most desirable kind of tourist: respectful of local laws and authority, low profile, and prosperous (but not too prosperous). Thus, unlike some publicity seeking individualists or tax rebels, a PT courts no danger, invites no confrontations.

A PT cannot be identified, classified or isolated from the general run of tourists. In terms of politics, the PT may be a supporter of any party or political philosophy. Most likely he is not a registered voter anywhere, and he never marches in demonstrations. He probably believes in free trade and minimum government. Fascists, democrats, socialists and communists all end up producing centralized bureaucracies with severe restrictions upon personal liberty. Thus, most PT’s tend to be individualists of libertarian stripe interested in maximizing their own personal freedom. PT’s seek the full and free enjoyment of life without robbing, defrauding, exploiting or leaning on anyone else.

"I think the subject which will be of most importance politically is mass psychology....Although this science will be diligently studied, it will be rigidly confined to the governing class. The populace will not be allowed to know how its convictions were generated."
-- Bertrand Russell in The Impact of Science on Society

“Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind. And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader and gladly so. How do I know? For this is what I have done. And I am Caesar.”
    – Julius Caesar
